The full fare is refunded, including taxes and fees.

Non-Refundable Tickets: For tickets that are classified as non-refundable, Delta offers flexibility, although certain restrictions apply. If a traveler needs to cancel a non-refundable ticket, they will receive an eCredit, which can be used toward future flights. Award Tickets (SkyMiles): Delta SkyMiles members who book flights using miles also benefit from a flexible cancellation policy. Cancellations for award tickets are usually free if made at least 72 hours prior to departure. Miles are redeposited back into the member’s account, though a redeposit fee may apply, depending on the member’s SkyMiles Medallion status.

Same-Day Ticket Changes and Cancellations: Delta offers a same-day ticket change policy for passengers needing to make changes or cancel their flight on the day of departure. The policy allows for changes to be made up to 24 hours before departure for a fee, typically around $75 for domestic flights. Same-day confirmed changes and cancellations are subject to availability.

Cancellation Fees for International Flights: International flight cancellations are subject to different rules based on the region and class of service. Depending on the route, cancellation fees for non-refundable tickets can range from $200 to $500 or more. Baggage Policy of Delta Airlines 

Delta Airlines has a straightforward baggage policy for both carry-on and checked luggage, with additional options for those traveling with excess, oversized, or special baggage. So, going through the details will only save and time.

Oversized items exceeding 62 linear inches (157 cm) or weighing more than 50 pounds (23 kg) will incur additional fees, typically starting at $100 for overweight bags and $150 for oversized baggage. Items weighing over 70 pounds (32 kg) are not accepted on certain routes.

Special Baggage: For those traveling with sports equipment, musical instruments, or other special items, Delta provides accommodations. Items such as golf clubs, skis, surfboards, and bicycles are accepted but may incur additional fees depending on size and weight. Musical instruments can be carried on as part of the carry-on allowance, provided they fit in the overhead bin or under the seat.

Baggage for Delta Medallion Members: Delta SkyMiles Medallion members and certain Delta credit cardholders receive additional baggage benefits, such as free checked baggage allowances. These benefits depend on the traveler’s status level, with higher Medallion members (such as Gold, Platinum, and Diamond) receiving more extensive baggage privileges.

Refund Policy of Delta Airlines
